Found a PD2904, it has a V6 gasoline engine in it. Anyone have additional info or interest. Bus was running seven years ago but has set since, its all there, conversion was started, is it worth saving? Looks like a lot of work. I have pictures. Prather |

Sure, I'll take a look at the pics. I have been thinking about a restoration project. Also, where are you located? ---James |

The big problem will not be in getting the engine started , it will be in finding parts for it , maybe. Find out how hard it is to get parts ,if the industry still supports it, and take a measuring stick with you , might be easiest to install a new truck V8 out of a 2001 wreck. Is it a V drive , ot T drive? Happily gas engines ARE avilable in reverse rotation. If needed a 440 Chrysler , could be a good reverse engine choice. The body should be the major concern, parts will be very hard. The rest of the running gear should be at your local truck store , or a phone call away , depending on what GM bought as running gear. The ride will not be as great as an air bag coach, but if you replace the springs AFTER the conversion is done , will ride just fine, as you can match the spring rates to the load. FAST FRED |

Not much on history other than bus had been converted, seven years ago it was running and had new tires and wheels put on. Engine had at least been painted and still looks good but who knows. Man who had it is a collecter of "treasures". So bus was full of other treasures (junk). Bus would have to be stripped down and redone. It is 30 feet long with about a 18 ft wheelbase short enough to be hauled on a lowboy without height problems. Prather |

Prather - If you'll post the complete VIN on this coach, I'll check my GM delivery roster and see if it's listed. If so, I'll be able to let you know who originally bought it from GMC. RJ |
