i just looked at a 1947 flex for sale here in albuquerque 540 cu in ford gas engine with allison auto, raised roof, conversion started.

Those 534 Fords get 3 mpg after a super fine tune up , with a heavy tail wind.

They are known in the trade as "Boat Anchors" , there very few parts left for them.

Happily the new Ford truck engines
{ real trucks , not some pickup}
fit right in same place , hook to tranny , and frequently the motor mounts fit too.

Very inexpensive at tour local Truck
{not pickup} wreckers.
