Quick Question just popped in to my head: The heater core was removed from my bus about 8 months ago as was the driver heat / defrost. The lines coming off the engine running to the heater cores were individually capped. Should the lines that circulated throught the heater cores have been connected together at the engine instead of individually capped? Thanks!! Matt - 1979 Silver Eagle Model 05 |

Depends, my bus has a re-circulating pump to send coolant to the front heater. Check to see if they also removed the pump. You may want to cap it before the pump only if you plan on never driving in winter. Otherwise, try to put a heater in the front. I froze my tush last winter while driving at night. This motivated to fix the climate control. |

If there's no flow, it shouldn't matter either way (capped OR looped). But I second JD's post... put a defroster and some kind of heater core back in there if you want to drive it in winter. It's "free heat" after all. bb |

In addition to my dash heat/AC, I bought a second aftermarket heater/AC and put it under my dinette seat. I plumbed the heat lines into where the factory heater core was removed......works great, heats the salon very nicely while underway |

trace the lines back to the engine.. then disconnect, plug as necessary... if you want to "clean up" the appearance, you can remove any fittings as you please.... but make sure you leave the lines that run up the chassis tunnel... you can use these to run any additional lines, hoses, or wiring.... |
