I have a 1978 8V71 with C60 injectors. I am wondering if DDA made a more effiecent (not more horse power) injector? |

Your C60s are stock for most coach applications w/ the 8v71. They're a good compromise of power and economy. Someone rebuilt my 1978 8v71 with N65s, and boy does she smoke and run hot up here in the "mile high" altitude. HTH, Brian Brown 4108-216 Longmont, CO |

Marty, from what I've learned about the 8V71's in buses (mostly from mine) if you plan to use the C or N65 injectors you'd probably want to change your engine to Advanced Timing...not just a simple thing like turning a distributor. The downside of that it: More heat, more fuel. More performance? yes, but at a price. If you don't want to go through all that you might consider a matched set of N (Needle) 60 injectors for your engine in it's current configuration. FWIW, Bob |
