I'm putting the walls in for the shower, made out of 1/2 plywood, sandwiched with a 1inch space for the water lines. I'm thinking of caulking the seam and painting the wall, trying to protect it from water moisture. Any thoughts, |

I sure wouldn't do that...what if a water line broke or started leaking,I'd rather have the water line exposed. as far as sealing the plywood,go to your autozone & buy a couple of quarts of fiberglass resin,it will come with a tube of hardner, get some rubber gloves, get a tub to mix 1 cup at a time & paint the plywood with resin, rubber gloves & 1" paint brushes , (harbor Freight)36 brushes for 5 to 10 dollars....tub,at gro. store ,used to save leftovers,(kinda like tupperware) ;cept cheaper, 4 tubs for 4 dollars |

are you doing it? I will go into more detail if you want, also, would suggest NOT to use calking & use "PL CONSTRUCTION adheasive in the seams.--( home depo ) |
