Hey Mycol, I just wanted to say hi to a fellow AMG owner. I have a '77 AMG 10240 with an 8v71 and a V-730 trans. You might try contacting Luke at US Coach. 1-888-262-2434 or e-mail at uscoach@att.net I bought some parts from him for my AMG and he was very helpful, prompt and willing to take the time to talk to me whenever I called. He is a good guy to deal with. Hope this helps and welcome to the BNO coummunity

I would try nimcobus.com for a good used transmission. They are great folks and will do ya a good deal. I have bought several things through them to include my V730.

have a used v730 for sale in Portland OR that I
would sell to you for about $450 including the filter
and cooler. I came from a parts bus with a worn out
engine. I drove it about 300 miles and it shifted
absolutley perfect. WE could find a cheap way to ship
it or meet halfway. I deliver buses annd am working
on getting six from Lax to Portland now. I really
don't have room for it.
