I need to know the location of the 2 washer nozzles on the front of a 4905. Also, anybody know where I can get them, or have the #'s? Darrell |

On my 76 4905 the washer nozzles are directly between and above the pivots for the two arms for each wiper. They are almost on the edge of the ridge right below the windshield. No idea where you can get some. Hope this helps. JW |

Hello Darrell. Have you considered using the newer style ones that attach to the wiper arm? Big trucks, MCI and Prevost are all doing this now. Puts more washer juice where you want it, using less juice, because you aren't hosing it all over. Little plastic block with four little adjustable nozzles clip on wiper arm. Run hose to them from the stock on body washer locations and up the wiper arm. HTH happy coaching! buswarrior |

I've thought about using the on-wiper nozzzle. i end up with a lot of loose hose to allow for te sweep of the arm. I even bought a setup, but I don't like all the xs hose from the wiper down to where it goes through the front of the bus. Darrell |

On cars, automakers have switched from wiper mounted washer nozzles to hood mounted ones. I like the hood mounted nozzles better on cars. Why would wiper mounted be better on buses? My Dina has the nozzles mounted below the windshield. Brian Elfert |

Darrell, You use a couple neat plastic wire ties to fasten the hose down the wiper arm, and then a relatively small loop at the bottom is all you need for free play. Brian, Washer nozzles on most buses spray one place sitting still when you adjust them, and then spray completely a different place with the crazy windflow at highway speed. Most often, you have to spray a lot to get a little where you need it to get the windshield clear. Often on MC7,8,9, a good spray at highway speed, means the outer of the two stock nozzles for each windshield needs to spray straight up in the air when sitting still. Gets you interesting looks if you spray it at the stop lights! Situation may be different if you aren't trying to clear salt spray from your windshield. happy coaching! buswarrior |
