has anyone tried propane boost to increase horsepower it is being marketed as a way to increase efficiency and horsepower by mixing propane with the incoming air. i am wondering if it would be a way to get my 4104 w/6-71 up hills a little easier |

I have a friend who put it on his 8-71 and swears it improved performance and mileage dramatically. Been going for about 6 mo's. now, keeping a log. We will see perhaps. He also is a distributor. Also turbo'd the engine at about the same time. I happen to be a little skeptical of it since I have never been impressed by the performance of LPG cars and light trucks. I also wonder about the effect on 'used' or 'tired' engines. It appears to me that a lot of the perceived boost results from raising the RPM 2-300, which he has acknowledged happens. |

I believe George Lowry over on the GMC Busnuts group mentioned once that he has a propane booster. Might want post you question over there and see if he can give you some first hand info.
