My spot mirrors have seen better days... the right one came apart due to the ravages of the sun.

These mirrors have a center stud and mount into a triangular flange on the top of the stock MCI mirror.

I went to my local NAPA and all there spot mirrors have the mounting stud offset, and a smaller thread size to boot.

What's your favorite spot mirror and where do you get 'em?

Thanks,

Hello Craig.

Get out to the local truck supplier.

If a vendor does not carry both off-set and centre studs in a variety of sizes, they aren't where you want to be.

Think about going bigger than stock. Makes a nicer size for older eyes to see more clearly!

happy coaching!

Bigger mirrors are a good idea. On the curbside especially I think I would like to get a larger one to help "bend" the bus back into parking spaces. It could help with parallel parking too.

Bob - thanks for the offer! What size are your spot mirrors?

We are pushing for a "steel tent" adventure monday (or tuesday if I can't get enough done this weekend) so I may have to cobble something up for this week. Our reskin, new-windows, do-a-little-interior-updating project got out of hand and the kids want a bus trip before school starts again.

Thanks again for your advice and offers!
