Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knew of a good campground on the west side of Glacier National Park in Montana. No one has posted anything in 'places we stay' or 'places we avoid' for Montana. Any suggestions?? We're heading there next after a couple more days in the Grand Tetons. Thanks

We didn't stay anywhere on the west side of Glacier NP, but two years ago we camped on Flathead Lake (state campground) near the town of Polson and did a day trip to GNP with the towed vehicle. The campground was small but pretty. Oh, and our bus is only 35 feet.

Thanks for the info...we actually made reservations at Rocky Mountain HI (glaciercamping.com)for this next week. My brother has stayed there with his trailer and liked it alot, so that's where we're going! Thanks again...

Try the 1st Campground just east of the west entrance to the park . Its a national park campground $24 and has space for big rigs. We camped there about 2 weeks ago , real nioce and close to town.
