I’m feeling pretty good tonight,
After falling off the roof of my bus I haven’t done too much work on it.
Since the Delaware rally I started putting the rest of the floor down, but with my hip hurting I have been taking my time.
Okay, so I came home from work feeling tired and sleepy and Sue says, “is the bus unlocked?”
My answer = No, why?
Her reply = I need to get in there - I haven’t had my bus fix yet today.
I have been waiting 4 years to hear that, that’s it - the whole family is involved now.
The interior is coming together so nice and quick it’s unreal.
I hate to say it but it really needed that woman’s touch.
The construction phase of our floor plan (that we’ve stayed with since the beginning) was easy.
Now that the basics are in place, the “decorating” begins.....color coordinating, stain colors, wallpaper, etc.
The Delaware rally was the first time we used the bus as a family for recreational purposes.
We even had a guest with us, and it worked out just fine (except for the black eye.)
It assured us that the plan we chose is going to work for our style.
Now it’s just matter of putting the finishing touches on it; and I’m glad she’s involved.
It’s a good feeling when it gets to the point that the whole family is involved.

I remember a few years ago feeling really disgruntled about the whole project. We bought a bus that had to be gutted (it was a seated coach in great shape.) Then came all the structural work, insulating, plywooding, etc., etc. It was getting frustrating when it wasn’t moving along quick enough (since it was unusable as a motor home or a bus). But since the actual conversion started (making it into our home on wheels), it’s amazing how addicting it’s become to me, and now my wife.

Just went through the same exact stage as you. Final decorations that need a color coordination, pattern matching, style sort of touch. Unfortunately, both my wife and I fail those miserably. However, we've pieced something together, and we also took our first weekender after 3 years working on the bus. It all went fine. Light at the end of the tunnel. However, I now know I have an overheating problem, so I can start working on the outside parts too. :-(

Ed's son beat the ever living Cr*p out of his cousin......Just Kidding........

Ed's nephue fell out of the bunk bed and landed on his face. Heavy sleeper...Huh

Nick, there's some truth to what you said, but whats the matter? Don't want to tell them about the RUMBLE IN DELAWARE?
Just wait until Bill breaks out with that kick boxing karaoke at Arcadia and unleashes Eric.
(Round 2 on the 22nd.)
