I am planning on looking at a 77 GMC 4905 Buffalo. Is there anything special I should be checking for?

Rust - around the "D" windows and the upper skylights.

Cracked engine bulkhead - bring a STRONG flashlight.

Get it thoroughly inspected by a BUS company technician. If owner won't allow to do so, go elsewhere.

Search the archives for more info.

Hey Clogger, I think I know which bus you're looking at, as I have considered buying it before but opted to either hold out for a Buffalo w/ automatic or use another type shell for my conversion. That bus looks great in the pics though! Listen to RJ Long and have it checked completely with respect to everything in its systems before you buy. Good luck!

Tom
