Has anyone experienced the transmission main oil pressure being 300psi when in nuetral. As soon as I put it in drive it drops to around 150psi. I was reving the engine when the transmission was in nuetral yesterday and blew oil from around the rubber ring on the transmission oil filter. Nice to have good pressure but not to excess. Bill |

Bill, IIRC on my V730 the needle doesn't move between neutral and any forward range... stays about 150psi. It jumps up to about 250psi only when in reverse. From my service manual, I thought that the lubrication circuit was only to run about 30psi or so, but I could be mistaken. Sounds as if your tranny is putting out too much pressure... OR you've tapped the gauge into the wrong port (if this is a new installation for you). HTH, Brian Brown 4108-216 w/ V730 Longmont, CO |

Brian When I had a V730 it acted just like you said. I don't understand this one. I guess I will have to have DD dealer look at it. Thanks. Bill |
