I found this MC5 for sale in Florida, 3000 miles away, but can somebody look at the pictures of the bus roof line & tell me what is wrong with it? Looks like the roof has been altered? I will try to paste a link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MCI-5C-35-foot-41-Passenger-coach_W0QQitemZ160033430051QQih Z006QQcategoryZ6728QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem thanks, Mark |

Mark - That's the stock roofline for a 5C. The C is sort of an oddity among the 5s. It uses basically a MC-8 front end grafted to the body of the 5a & b. Since the 8 is taller than the 5, that explains the weird roofline treatment above the triangle windows. Look at some of the other similarities: side windows, rub rails, side fluting, rear cap, marker lights, taillights, etc. Stylistically, the MC-5C is a 35-foot, two-axle MC-8. |

Didn't the C have a second roof for Saudi? Maybe they took the second roof off and left the front cap. |

Not all the 5Cs were built for Saudi use, consequently they didn't have the double roof. BTW, the majority of 5C Saudi units have transit doors, front and rear, making them easy to spot. HTH. . . |

Here's a 5c from a different angle. The pic on eBay looks to be a little light struck on that side, making the "bump" look taller than it might be. Ian www.busnut.com |

Mark, I agree with I@n the roof looks okay. Look at the picture in your link showing the bus from the left rear. The roof looks like a normal 5c. Connel |

"BTW, the majority of 5C Saudi units have transit doors, front and rear, making them easy to spot." Foxwoods Casino used a bunch of them for shuttles a while back...no idea what happened to them (they have RTSII's now). The drivers all loved them, I must say. |
