I'm not due in portland till tomorrow night, and looking for advice on a FREE place to spend the night that's along I-5. ill go walmart of I have to, but a quiet neigborhood or city is preferable. thanks so much! kyle in norcal 1980 Eagle 10 #30223 |

Kyle back when I was trucking, I used to enjoy sleeping in the north bound rest area/ overlook at Lake Shasta ( I think thats right it's been several yrs) but it overlooks the valley & lake really cool place! BK (Message edited by Busted Knuckle on September 29, 2006) |

thanks for the input guys. BK, I actually stopped @ that rest area tonight. really is a sight to see. anyone taking nb I-5 through there should stop. natures wonders, man. it has a "no overnight parking" sign there now, so I'm parked in the medford, or walmart lot, but there's about 12 other rvs so I feel much better about a camp out. thanks! now to bed..... kyle in norcal 1980 Eagle 10 #30223 |

Hi Kyle, We are staying at Dash Point State Park in Federal Way, WA just below Seattle. Not a bad place, little tight getting around, but it's nice and quiet... Hope your trip goes well! (Message edited by TheRedWriter on September 30, 2006) |
