My question is there a heater hose running from the radiator to the front of the bus? reason is antifreeze is leaking in one of the bays where the generator is at I check the generator for leaks none . please help! What is the best solution to fix the problem I dont need heat up front.

I think it runs in the tunel...in the bays tunel is accesable on the ceiling of the bay,kinda looks like suitcase latches

Yes you have a supply and return lines. Original lines were copper.

I don't know about an Eagle, but on GM coach's there will be cut off valves that will turn off coolant flow to the front. I would bet that your Eagle has them also. If you don't need heat up front turning them off should make the coach driveable.

On my coach I did away with the heater core up front, then I capped the lines off at the engine. FWIW.

Anyone know were the cut off valves are located on an Eagle??

Manny, on our coach (GM) there are shut off valves back in the engine room on the supply and return for the coach and defrost heating lines. Ours are a combination of original copper with repair splices of heater hose. Start back by the engine and look for hoses going foward off block.

Manny,

My model 10 in the OEM condition had a ball valve on each side of the engine for the water going to the front. These two lines "Y"ed together above the transmission to make a larger line. I have a ball valve near my radiator bottom at the radiator outlet, (near the water pump) to close the return line from the front. This isolates the whole sytem from the engine.

There were some Tee's in the line in the back bay to branch to the bus heaters. Forward that it was uninterrupted to the front except for some transitions to rubber hoses just below the center stepwell in the front of the coach.

You will need some sort of heat in the cockpit if you drive in the winter. I use mine a lot because it gets cold up front.

You will also need the defroster just about anywhere you go. On my Eagle I kept the heater valves shut in summer but really needed them on in colder weather. Find the leaks and fix them. Probably in the tunnel going up the center of the bus thru the compartments.

On my 1984 Eagle 10 there are shut off valves near the engine that you can close off to the front. The one on the drivers side I reach from the back and the passenger side one I get from under the coach. Easy to do. My 4108 also had shut offs to the front heaters. I can not remember where as it has been 9 years since I had the GMC.

Thank you all for the info. I did find the two valves on each side of the engine, thank God they were there.The coolant was five gallons short. I think it has been leaking for a while. The previous owner gave me a case of antifeeze but I'm learning as I go. Maybe I can meet some of you guys at the Arcadia rally.
