Call your local Shell distributor and they can advise who's stocking the 40wt...If anyone. They can get it without issue. Whoever you talk to will immediately try to talk you into 15W40. Don't use 15W40 or any other multi viscosity oil in your DD 2 stroke.
About $41 per 6 gallon case.

Also you could find an oil distributor and purchase a 55 gallon drum, which will save money on the larger volume. This way you won't have to find the oil every time you need to change it. 55 gal. may seem like a lot of oil, but you use about 10 gal per change, carry a couple of gallons on the coach all the time, and of course the constant need to top it off....

In Canada, Petrocan makes Dieseltonic, specifically for 2 Stroke Detroit Diesels, in 40w or 30w. In 4x4liter cases. Available at their bulk plants. I've been using it, works great.

Christopher -

If you go to any of the major fuel/oil company websites, you can usually find after a little surfing around, a "dealer/dristributor locator". Plug in your city or postal code, and up will pop numerous places to order their product.

Shell, Chevron (Delo 100), Exxon/Mobile, etc. all have them.

Good Luck, and HTH. . .

:-)

I received an email from Jim Wilke doubting that I had purchased Rotella 40W from Home Depot so I found the receipt and took a photo of the jug.

The actual price was $7.49/gal, by far the best price I found anywhere. I had paid over $9.00/gal from the friendly local Shell distributor a few days before this!!
