So speaking of basment air-my bus has it. It was installed by a comercial converter and this use of basement space is the problem. Two of the units are in the center bay, and they are fine, but the third one was installed in the spare tire bay. In addition to the conditioner, the bay also has an air compresser, lots of wiring, pnumatic line and mechanical systems that must be looked at and maintained. The air conditioner is just in the way of maintaining this area. I have thought about making the unit easily removable but don't know if they make quick disconnects that would allow the refrigerant to stay put. Thought of moving it to the first bay, but that is all storage now and it would be some what in the way. Thought maybe of replacing it with a roof air. This would be my last option because I like the clean roof look..., So what do you guys think. Ray Jensen |

We have 2 cruise airs in the spare tire compartment. For us there is nothing back there that has to be serviced on a regular basis. If there is something I need to get at Ill pull one. Just 4 bults 3 wires and 2 lines, R-22 is still pretty cheep, just refill. I like them up there myself! |
