Sure didn't get the vacation we had planned on.

In early June we bussed to Gore Bay on Manatoulin Island towing our toad. Parked the camper and drove back to CT.
The next week it rained and flooded the Erie Canal (dont ask me how you flood a canal). While rescuing sombody a crane fell into Lock 10 , damaging it.The canal was closed , so we drove back to get the camper.

4000 miles of driving in two weeks , $1000 of fuel , and we never passed GO.

So we spent the summer cruising LUCY in new england for a couple of months.

We had planned om leaving LUCY at Gore Bay for the winter , and next summer completing the LOOP , by running to Chi town and back to FL via the Miss and Ten Tom waterways.

Seems next year we won't bother with this plan and just head out from CT to Canada Trent Severne waterway and continue to FL.

Will be 4 months of boat cruising , at least that's the plan, now.

Sorry to hear your plans didn't work as planned who would of thought all that could happen. I guess it could have been worse the crane could have been rescuing you. :-)

The worst thing would have been the crane falling on your bus and both of them ending up in the water.

May your winter plans work out better.

Yes but think what a Liar for Hire could do do with those deep, deep pockets of the NYS Thruway folks, who run the canal.

Better than powerball , if one lived thru it.

We are planning on passing by in June or early July, hopefully the snow will be mostly gone by then,

Of course if "Global Warming " is over the canals will be solid ICE ,

But a cold BECKS will still taste good!
