will be added later today of the overhead cabinet we have been working on while being away from work or my regular job even though I may be finished with anyway. So far I'm pleased with the outcome. It really does finish off the interior. I still have some trim to do around some screw ups but other than that, it will work for me! You can access the picture site by going to "the lost links" page here on the main site and then click on personal web pages and then click on Ace & Susan. That should take you directly to the picture site. Once i find my camera cable, I will add the newest pictures of the cabinet. Thank you H3jim for the pics and ideas on how you did yours. Mine is not exactly the same as yours but similar. I think you have more room in yours as yours may sit lower than mine. I made mine even with the lower part of the upper windows and I have only one center opening door. I also left in the defroster motor and had to work around that where you took yours out. Bear with me as I look for the cable! Ace |

Ok guys I have 4 pictures of the rough in posted on my site. Tomorrow I will definitely post the finished product as today we covered all of the cabinet, made the round door, installed the hinge and door latch and made the end/side boxes and covered them as well. What yousee inthe rough pics is a trial fit. It was then completely removed (what a job) covered and re-installed (what a job) then the side boxes were fab'd in and then removed to be covered. Next was the door which was NOT an easy job because of the round (my choice) being part of the door to gain as much access to the cabinet as possible without lowering the whole cabinet. I kept it as high as possible! I also kept the original (working) defroster motor which is still inside the overhead cabinet. Wait until you see the finished product! It is sweet! Next if time permits between house hunting (we have one in mind that has plenty of room for visiting busses) I will install the same puck lights that I used in the LR. Only thing not finished this year before Arcadia will be the entrance/driver area, dash, and entrance door, but we have done a whole lot since last time! New pics tomorrow for sure! |

Ace, Looks Great! I had the pleasure of seeing Ace & Susans Coach a couple of weeks ago and it is awsome. Ace, Do you make those radius's or is that something that can be purchased from a cabinet supplier. Just Curious! Cliff |

Thanks Cliff! At least someone appreciates the effort. I must say I have had numerous emails complementing us on our coach and what we have done so far on the interior and we really do appreciate it! New pics of the 95% completed overhead cabinet are posted for anyone interested. I say 95% because I still have a some trim to put on around the side boxes and I am thinking about putting finished trim at each corner and in the middle to hide the bar/guides for the electric shades which I need to put back up. I also need to install the lighting I will be using so again...95% complete! Let me add too that out of the WHOLE inside, this had to be the hardest part yet! I hope I never have to do another one like this but when you want to use rounded corners, that's the price you have to pay! Oh and to answer the question from whoever it was, the raious's are pre made at a mill, purchased thru a cabinet distributor in 8, 10, & 12 foot lengths (not cheap) and then we just added the 3/4 inch board to the length I needed or wanted to make whatever it was I was making at the time! Thank"s again and as soon as I finish it up entirely, I will get more pics up! Ace |
