Hi folks,
We've been forced to move our chat room, DieselChat, to a new location because our hosting service has suddenly limited our account volume and charged us double for the same service they used to. We get literally nothing for the additional charges!
When we first opened this account, there was unlimited "throughput" and we needed that because our volumes were always very high. But now they have limited us to only 350,000 "hits" per month.
Now here's the kicker...
Coincidentally, BNO gets about 700,000 hits per month (we have had this volume since we opened the account with these bandits in Feb/2000). Our service wants to charge us double, because our "throughput" is double their newly imposed limit!
To temporarily resolve this problem, we have moved the chat portion of the site to another account with them (we have 10 accounts with these jerks, believe it or not!).
That will reduce the "throughput" significantly enough to allow us to locate another service provider who isn't going to screw us like this one did.
Bottom line... we're still here and DieselChat still works exactly the same... it's just that we are now running on a different server than BNO's main site. The links will still carry you back to our home page when you're through in the chat room.

|@n, does the above explain my getting kicked off the Board several times in the last few days? Also, I've had several posts disappear during transmission. Just Curious. Cheers...JJ |
