I have a Rockwell L-155-PX-22 axle (5.29:1) in my '77 BlueBird, and can buy a nice used "pumpkin" with 4.63:1 gears from a L-148-PX-24. Can I bolt this carrier with gears directly into my axle housing?
Hopefully someone out there has access to a Rockwell book which can tell me the difference, hopefully its just brakes and ratio (although I'd buy the drums too if the brakes are the same size).
