My 4905 has an MCI oil pressure guage installed. It had not been working so I explored wiring. I found out the wiring from the sending terminal junction in the engine compartment to the drivers compartment was faulty. Now - here's where things get screwey. The guage was getting it's power from the hot side of my hazard lights - which is a 12 volt system and not run from the 24 volt ignition system! Which way should this brand guage be run - 24 or 12 volt? |

I'd guess the MCI gauge is a 24 volt unit. I'm an MCI owner. I am assuming this is a round mount in the dashboard style gauge. Don't you love previous owners? happy coaching! buswarrior |

Thanks Buswarrior. Yes, it is a round small guage - about 2 inches dia. mounted in the dash. I have been guessing 24 volt as well, but I didn't know if newer MCI's did something special. As for the "previous owner" - It was done before our good Captain Ron bought it! |
