Hello all, I have a U2524 model Trace inverter. It is the black FMCA 25th anniversary, 2500 watt. It stopped charging my 24 volt house bank over the holiday but it still passes 120v through from either the jenny or the shore cord. The remote panel will read 23.3 volts for the house bank but 00.0 for the rate of charge. Can anyone offer me more troubleshooting insight than the owner's manual(which doesn't have a "try this" section)? Does anyone have this model for sale(for parts or fully functional)? Thanks in advance, Steve

Just an obvious question, so please excuse me, Does the unit (not familiar w/ u2524) have fuse or CB protection for the charger?

Thanks for your reply Niles. Zantrex told me that it does not have a fuse or cb. I had the clear plastic front and the top cover off and all I saw were a lot of circuit boards and I don't know which one is the charger or how to check the diodes once I can determine the correct board. The nearest service center is over 3 hours away and they will not volunteer any info. Steve

Steve, you might try doing some competed auction searches to find out what another inverter of that type would cost.

I think that you'll find that they are not worth more that $200 or so in perfect working order.

This will give you some idea of the choices that you have.
