My manual says I have a built in inverter to power up the front sign. It does not say how powerful it is or where it is located. Does anyone know anything about this, I don't want to find it by accident in the dark as its 120 volt. |

The inverter on my Eagle 10 is down under the drivers side compartment. I bought a used one so I could get my 110 dash panel lights going. They are a pretty green at night. |

I've got the little black box in the same place, under the driver... Wasn't sure what it was for... Are the dash lights not just regular 12 volt lights....Dennis referred to 110 dash panel lights..........The bus manual indicated the black box was to plug the bus in for interior lights when parked (I thought it was a converter box 110 to 12 volts?). I haven't plug mine in yet. The lights for my front sign are not working right now, so I'll have to go check. Anybody else have some thought on this |

The inverter Iam speaking of is for the back panels that hold the gauges. It changes 12 volt to 110. It is all explained in the service manual. I did not know it even existed as mine did not work until I spoke with an ex trailways driver and he told me about it. I ordered a used inverter from a guy in Nashville. It is a pretty green that lights up the white area you see on your gauges in the day. |

Does the factory inverter run anything other than the backlights for the dash. Again, I just assumed it was all 12 volts (dash lights). I don't understand way the dash panel would have 110 lights in it. Does your inverter have a plug in, for outside power? Mine does, I'm just afraid to plug it in until I trace the wires down, I would hate to fry something by accident. Anybody else have information on this, I would like to understand my bus better. Thanks Evan 1982 Eagle Model 10 |
