Well, I am brand new to Crown. I know nothing, except it is 62 feet long (articulated) with a cummins turbo. I need windshields for the 82 Crown articulated, but I do not know where to look. The name plate in the bus says Los Angeles, but I looked in the phone book there and see nothing about Crown. Is there anybody out there that could help me? I am getting ready to skin the windows over and paint the sides, and begin the conversion. It is outrageous. When it goes down the road, people drive in ditches and into picture windows looking. |

You can try West Coach in CA. (909)464-1025. They may be able to help. |

A Crown Ikarus is not a real Crown. It is a European bus that was imported for a few years by Crown who then Fedearlized them to meet US spe'cs. If you really intend to keep your Ikarus, find another one to use for parts because I don't think you can get parts for them anywhere any longer. Good luck and have fun. Mark O. |

You might want to check out http://www.nabiusa.com/parts/index.html . I recall an article some time back that this outfit was started by some of the folks who were involved in Crown and Crown-Ikarus, and that they were carrying some parts for Ikarus. I swing toward the Crown Firecoaches so I don't know all the ins and outs of the regular coaches. Good Luck! Don http://homepage.mac.com/dhindle/index3.html |
