Too many good books can become a nuisance, but a couple
decent ones can make for an easier trip. We've used these for years:

For campground locations: Woodalls directory

For fuel, free places to park, garages, etc: The Trucker's Friend or RVrs friend

Here is one I heard about for "big" motor homes etc.

Called Big Rigs Best Bets

http://www.big-rigs-rv.com/

I've never stayed at any of these places so I can't comment on any of them but, if they are designed for big rigs then entrance and exits should be easier.

There's a great resource book that we have used many times called "Explore the Next Exit before You Exit." It covers all exits off of the Interstates in the US. It's great for finding fuel stops, places to eat, Walmarts, etc. I think you can get them at Flying J's, Cracker Barrel's and Walmart.

NO busnut should leave home without their on-board copy of the Bus Garage Index, published by Bus Ride magazine (www.busride.com).

This publication lists bus companies and garages all over the US & Canada, including contact info. Very helpful for service on the road, as well as the unfortunate Oh Dark Thirty incidents!

Some of the best $$$ you'll spend on your bus!

FWIW & HTH. . .
