Over on the Flea Market side there is a thread starting about the Bill Teal designed over drive. Has anyone ACTUALLY built this or RUn this unit down the road?

I installed it in my 6V92TA with the V731. Unfortunately the valves were in backward and I ran out of time as we were into the camping season so I never had time to replumb it. I ran the rest of the year in direct but I will change it this winter. Bill

Bill, we drove to Santa Fe to maybe buy Bill's nice coach. Didn't drive it a great distance, but it worked very nicely, shifting into overdrive easily. Wife didn't like the floor plan, so we didn't purchase. I was impressed with Bill's work.

Bill also produces a "how to" manual for the modification using the overdrive unit from the VS2-8 into the V730.>>>Dan

Contrary to some peoples belief we don't live in igloos. 500 miles further north they do but not here. We actually get warm weather here for 6 months of the year. I'm just jealous of the Southern States and their warm climates. Please send us a little warmth now as we are about 20 degrees. Thats cool with a wind. Look at Bus Warriors picture and see the snow. I bought the manual from Bill Teal a few years ago and it tells you very precisly how to do it. I made a few modifications so I could run a 6V92TA with it instead of the 8V71 that Bill used. Bill

Dan,
The unit and the instruction book is the unit I am asking about, has anyone ever built it and/or ACTUALLY driven it.

Any other info about the V730 Bill Teal overdrive would be greatly appreciated.

How much did it cost to get all of the maching done, was it real "advanced" machining. I have both, a spare v730 and a Vs28 and thought I might try it, but don't want to go to all that trouble and find suprises after I get it done.
