Doyle

I know of a case where 0/50 synthetic was used in a 8v71 and he got all of 2 blocks when the engine seized. The answer is NEVER!.

Doyle,

What all these posts mean is never use multi-grade in a DD. Also, use only CF-2 rated oil (This is written on the rear of the label) Most will say CF-4 which is for most other diesels except 2-Stroke DDs.

Seems like the CF-2 40wt is very much a vainishing breed; but for anyone traveling along IH10 through El Paso, Canyon State Oil is the jobber and they'll fix you up with Rotella T 40 wt. in a 5 gal pail for $51.29+tax. Easy on and off but check your gps. Call Benjamin at (915) 775-3525.
