Sometimes the band gigs are at small out of the way clubs/bars/venues. This can prove to be a challenge when driving to, parking, and unloading the bus. This video shows one of the places that is a bit of a challenge.

That would be better if the cowboy music wasn't drowning out the sweet sound of the Detroit.:-)

I loved the video...makes me want to get back out there on the road and do some gigs. But then again, my gigs are at old county churches with big parking lots. You guys stay safe.
Hi, I think I should post photos of our Eagle.

I found out about tight places when we took our 4104 to Conn., back on country roads around Putnam. Glad for power steering. When I first got the 4905, went to drive around back of a shopping center by a Lowes store. Got back there and found piles of building material were left to be stored till the next day.Did quite a bit of jockeying to get turned around in the dark; and that was even with a night vision rearview camera.Five extra feet and foot taller sure make a difference.

David, John,
I'm getting better at knowing the limits of the bus. Just pulling into and backing out of the driveway at my house helps. Knowing how tall the bus is helps also, there are a few low bridges/overpasses that are very close. with the air units on top I am just under 11 feet. There is one 12ft train overpass that when your sitting in the bus you would swear the bus wouldn't clear, but it does. (I like to take first time riders under that)

Ron, I'll let Eddie know you like his songs. Those songs are from a CD he did about 10-15 years ago. "Cold in California" is the name of the song on the video "Just Another Gig" and is also the album title.

.

Cameron,
You did see the tape. Earlier that day I was replacing a couple switches and circuit breakers. I use the tape around the connections on the switches as added protection from shorts.

There will also be duct tape or gaffers tape on the dash from time to time because I'm the sound-man for the band. And you can never have too much duct/gaffers tape around.
