Short of a complete remake, which is neither necessary or practical in this case, does anyone have suggestions for best way to treat rusty bay bottoms ( water got under the heavy rubber padding) and for weatherproofing door openings? I intend to sandblast and then?????. Would prefer it remain dry! The coach is a 1964 and has apparently had new weatherstrip applied, but appears to be very unsatisfactory in present configuration, whis is affixed to the coach, in a 1/2 inch channel. Doors lock tight, but not tight enough. Must be some real innovative suggestions out there. Thanx, RCB |

RCB: I haven't used it but I would look closely at products like they spray into pickup truck boxes for liners. There are a variety of manufacturers of RINO LINERS type products which can be sprayed on or hand applied with rollers. Very tuff stuff and water resistant. Bus Driver Dave |

The rhino liners are good if the damage has not already been done...you can buy new metal and rivet it in...or..you can look for downed street signs...they are anodized steel...best around..lol...but someone told me..i personally wouldnt know ;) Pete |

Just don't get caught with a street sign! They are gov't property. Ever hear about the college kids who had a party and when the cops broke up the party saw several street signs in the living room? (Slippery When Wet) etc. . . Cost them a whole lot more than a noise complaint warning. . . or so rumor has it anyway. . . Scott |
