My '78 Eagle Model 05 lube guide specifies Type A Suffix A ATF for the power steering. I can't find such a beast but it seems that Dexron (III) is the successor. Is this the correct fluid?

Doyle,

That is the way I see it also. All I can remember is type "A" and "F" and I know F is for Ford so I use DexIII in my 4104 original power assist steering.

Hey you sould try the transynd from DDA stuff is amazing , cooler trans temps less intervails for changes . Price is alittle scary but you get what you pay for . My trans shifts better as well ,30 to 40 degrees cooler on the temp gauge . Try it youll like it
