I have an MCI 5C that I am nearly finished with.
However, the right front airbag or valve leaks so
badly I can no longer get the air pressure up high
enough to release the brakes. There is only about 5 inches clearance under the jack pad, so it prob-
ably means digging some driveway gravel out from
under to get a jack under the jack pad. When I raise it this way however where can I place a jack
stand or block for safety while I work on this area?

John,

Do you have da book? Mine shows "frame jacking points" for my MC 9. In front, they are ahead of the axle. Basically a large rectangular piece of the frame that extends down to about 10" off the ground.

I, too, found it to be a real pain to both jack and block. I ended up getting a 6' long piece of 4" x 6" x 3/8" tubular steel and setting it across the bottom of the bus, under the two jacking points. I was then able to both jack (from the ends of the tube) and block (close to the jacking points themselves) using the tube.

For me, this was very helpful in adjusting the height of the various corners to get it level, as I blocked up the bus in prep for my roof raise.

HTH,
John
