There is a component of Windows XP called "Image Resizer" which you may already have. To check, go to any of your picture files and right click on it. The drop-down menu should have an option to "resize picture." If you don't have it, and some early versions shipped without it, you can go to the Microsoft web site and download it. You can find it in their "Power Toys" category.

It's a very small file, downloads quickly and installs easily. Its free and works great.

I tried to get my photo to post and no matter what I did it didn’t work. I finally gave up and sent my photo to Ian, and as you can see, problem solved.

A great little photo editor called PhotoEd used to ship with MessySoft Office. It includes an image resizer. They pulled it from Office several years ago & the Office installer would zap it off your computer when you "upgraded". I kept reinstalling it and later versions of Messysoft Office have stopped nuking PhotoEd. You can still find copies of it lurking on the web or you can go back to older install CDs for Office.
