Sorry for the song ripoff.. Got home to my bus tonight. We have been working out of town since the 2nd week in Feb. Get to the bus notice it is really dark inside. Thought hmm we must have left the lights off. NOT!!!!!!!! Power is off to the bus. Check all the breakers etc in the bus Nope not a problem get out side checking by the light of my cell phone.> Can't see any problem. Finally got flashlight cussed because I had put it up instead of leaving it out where I would trip on it. Then I see the problem seems that during our absence the plug got fried. The cord was plugged into a 30 to 50 amp converter and that was where it was fried. Okay no problem whip out the rusty trusty OMG I forgot I didn't have a conventional plug because I was swapping it to norinco type. SO I improvised from The suggestion of wife to cut off the bad part of the plug and wire the good to it. WORKED... Now that smell from my tattletale electronics and UPS I find that on March the 2nd the power went off. This leaving the freezer and fridge to defend for themselves since. Well I am sorry to say that both died in battle and rigor mortis has long ago set in. Any suggestions on getting that odor out? Febreeze is making it tolerable currently. 100 pound bag Baking Soda? |

If it was mostly meat, you can add some onions and vegetables so it'll smell like stew! mmmm-mm-mm-mm-mmm. We used nutmeg and baking soda after the horridcanes to remove the odour'. Nothing like liver/apple pie, but it went well with the roaches. |

Fresh coffee grounds, sprinkle it around on the floor, it will overcome the odor and when gone, just sweep and vacuum away. If the smell is really bad, you may have to use a pound or two. It is rare that you will find someone that finds the smell of coffee grounds offensive like some of the other odor cover ups. JimCallaghan |

Don't Laugh. Here you go: Kids 'n Pets Stain & Odor Remover http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&channel=s&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aof ficial&hs=c5p&q=kids+and+pets+odor&btnG=Search It really works. Highly recommend a bottle for anyone who owns a bus or RV. Will not only kill odors but also removes stains and cleans seats, upholstery, carpet, blinds, you name it. It doesnt try to mask the smell it neutralizes it with natural enzymes. Long story but I bought a car from someone and I didnt like the smell and it needed a good cleaning. I found a guy who has a newsletter for car detailing and 20 years in the business. When asked what does he use? He said this. If you want to pick a bottle right away I think they sell it at Albertsons SuperMarket. Otherwise check their website for distribution. Looks like they are selling it online now. Might be a store close to you. You can call the company and ask they are friendly to help. Should be about $7 for a big bottle. last enough to do the whole bus if you use it sparingly. works great. Good too if you want to get rid of things like cigarette smell, etc. from old cars and such. contains an exclusive formula of high speed natural liquid enzymes. Give it a shot. |

Agree with Simon. I had gotten rid of almost all smell-causing crud in the coach and finally realized that the drivers seat was still a'stinkin from 25 years of sweat. Did the treatment on that with a similar product and baby I can put my face on it now. (Not that I would! LOL) It's a different product but probably works in just the same way. Some kind of enzyme reaction that works great! I got it from a feed supply store. Also, little dishes of vinegar spread throughout work. Change out every day or two. Have also heard the coffee trick. Bleach wipedown inside the refer perhaps? |

Old fashoned charcoal (without the lighter fluid added) seems to keep the odors away. I put 'em in a tin pie pan or use alum foil. The ozone generators are great too, my brother-in-law uses them at the nursing home, you wouldn't believe the odors that go away after a few hours. Good Luck. |
