Look at the flat machined surface at the left front of the block, between the cylinder head and the mounting location for the block heater
(square cover plate with 4 bolts if block heater is not installed).

John What numbers are looking for? If you looking for bus numbers, look in side you service door under drivers seat area on the frame. If you are looking engine numbers, the right side is looking from the right side of the bus or transmission side. Right is the high side near the bulk head.

John;

The numbers are on the right side if the engine when looking from the flywhell end.

They will be just above the starter between and below the first and second air box covers on early model blocks, and on the pad at the front right of the block below the head on newer blocks.

If the engine was rebuilt and a new block was installed they may not of restamped the numbers on it.( not uncommon ) If you need #'s to buy parts let me know and I can give you some #'s that will work.

Hope this helps

Don
