My bus is going to be plugged into shore power for the next two or three months. My question is, will my Magnatek Model 3230 power converter overcharge the batteries? The charge rate is 0.5 amps. I have a disconnect switch that will disconnect the batteries fron the bus. I don't want to fry my batteries so what's the best procedure for this situation? Thanks. |

Steve I would suggest you call --> http://www.parallaxpower.com/linear.htm and verify that you have the "battery Charger Option C" model Pete RTS/Daytona (Message edited by pete RTS/Daytona on March 25, 2007) |

Hey Pete, thanks that's just the info I needed. My power converter has the charger option on it. I had a S&S that burned up a battery because the charger did not stop charging. I had checked the Magnatek web site but could not find any info on the 3230 power converter. Thanks again for the link. |

I leave my bus plugged in for months, using a Magnatek convertor with no problems. Be sure that your batteries are not low on water. Dave D |
