could be you have air in the system, jack up the front and turn slowly the steering wheel from right to left, do not hold or block the steering all the way to one end, check the fluid level and do it again.... |

Mine did the same thing when I flushed out the lines and replaced the hoses, It took a bunch of Left and right turns to get all the air out and a while for the air foamed-up fluid to return to normal. Be sure that your full level is with the coach running. |

You say it is the reservoir, so it probably is. The pump has a simple overpressure relief that can blow also. Once blown, it needs a new relief thingamajig. |

One more idea for you -- I put a sheppard ps on my 06 -- used steering gear box, new pump, and used reseavoir. I had the same foaming problem for a while. Be it coincidence or what fixed / help fix mine but I removed the resavoir and tried to find anywhere air could be entering the suction side of the pump and compounding the problem. My resavoir has a filter in it and I noticed the bolt for keeping the lid on screws into the same shaft where the suction side of the pump is connected to. I simply put some teflon tape on the bolt holding down the lid and I was rid of the air a whole lot sooner and permanently. - Hope this helps. Jerry |
