We'are about to install the Fuel Pro 382 filter and replace a few lines while we're at it. Is any location OK? (I found a great spot on the left side at about chest height, which would entail running the fuel line on the ceiling of the engine compartment.) And is regular teflon tape OK for fuel lines?

Do not use tape or thread sealant on fuel lines. Hope you are using AeroQuip fuel lines and not rubber!

You should READ the instructions for mounting, I believe they advise a particular hight in relation to the engine.>>>Dan

Doug,

If you have an older GM bus with a pump on the engine almost any reasonably good rubber hose is ok because it is a suction system and not much suction at that. Since you don't tell us your bus type this may not apply.

Use paste teflon sealant on threaded (NPT)fittings but not on tapered flare or compression fittings, this stuff is great.

Teflon tape will shed small pieces and foul the fuel system.

Does anyone recommend a great supplier for the 382?

The best price we found was at Freightliner dealers. There are some cheaper on E-bay though.
