Anyone have a quick reference and can tell me the GVWR for a 4905? How about the dry weight?
Thanks, peter

Peter:

From the driver's manual:

GVWR = 32,000 (two axle), 33,500 (three axle)

GAWR Front = 12,500

GAWR Rear = 20,000 (two axle), 21,000 (three axle)

GAWR Tag = 5,500

These are with 12.5x22.5 load range G tires (8.0x22.5 load range D on tags)

Don't have dry weight - seems somebody posted quite awhile ago that his stripped 4905 was around 22,000 or so. . . Why not run it across some scales and find out?

Peter, with about 60 gal. of fuel mine scaled 24,225, and after a moderate conversion it hit 24,240 (same scale) 9060#front, 15180# rear, no tag. I expected to pile the weigt on but have scaled it twice within 50 lbs. Hey RJ, where can I get a drivers manual? I have 'Da Books, but it doesn't list that anywhere. Cheers...JJ

JJ -

Interesting. . . gained 15 lbs w/ the conversion?

When you first weighed it, was it still a seated coach?

Did you weigh it stripped?

Driver's Operating Manual is out of print, might find one on eBay now and then. I think Coach Info has reproductions. . .

I just photocopied mine for another '05 owner, email me off the board for more info. (Remove the "X" off the end of the address, or it will disappear into cyberspace.)

Thanks everyone very much, my insurance agent is happy with the above, the issue is settled.
This was the LAST of a series of unwarranted and trivial questions that have been posed to avoid or delay paying a claim for $212.44. I had offered $500 cash on the spot to save us all trouble, but the guy wanted to involve the Insurance Mafia.
I know it is the last because I have quit them and replaced the policy and will no longer return their phone calls.

Hey RJ, I weighed it empty/seated, and after it was ready to move into.(I don't think it will ever be "finished"), but had no tags to get it done while stripped, besides it had the genset in to provide power during the conversion, while out in the field. I was as surprised as you about the weight. Two seats as a unit are almost all two people can muscle out the door. The 15 gal. stainless tank for the bathroom weighed more than the bed that went in that area. Condenser and it's fan were almost as much as the genset that went in in it's place. My drop-leaf table and antique fold-up chairs, the stereo cabinet ,and the computer console combined, all weigh less than one pair of seats. My Nissan drivers seat is aluminum and fiberglass and weighs about half the original "park-bench" that GM put in it. I'll put a watch on e-bay, since I hope to find an original manual. Thanks, and Cheers...JJ
