No you have to charge each battery individually. this means connecting to each battery sas if it were alone. Jerry

And watch the levels - you want to make sure you charge the batteries by the same amount. Better to use a 24V charger.

Mule make it's 24v! Just because there are 2 12v batteries together doesn't necessarily mean it's 24v. It could still be 12v.

Yes i know these ?? are a little D--b but had to ask, I have been on Eplay trying to find a 24v solar batt minder . Really getting tired of that site. RJmule Randall

Absolutely no problem to hook charger to one battery and charge it up, then hook the charger to the other battery and charge it up. Just be careful and obsorve proper polarity of the charger when connecting it.

2 of the 2/6 amp small battery chargers with one hooked to each battery works very well without brain surgery.

I found a 24 volt 6 amp charger at a surplus store a while back and it's great. Some of the electric scooters run 24 volts, I think one of my old handicap scooters had a 24 volt charger but I already sent it to scrap. It used 2 tractor batteries.

Check your local Habitat for Humanity store, Look close you can find some bargains on the back shelves. Lots of usable stuff for conversion at times too....

Randall

I did exactly that yesterday, I used a "smart" charger connected it to one battery and it charged untill it shut itself off and indicated 100% fullcharged . Then I did the same with the other battery. The nice thing about these smart chargers is that you cannot overcharge your battery. I do have a 24 v charger ( old forklift) but i wont use it unless i keep a very close eye on things.
Joe.
