You might look at a head from Marathon Electric, The light-plant Pancake heads with the right housing adapter should be available.

The other supplier that makes adaptable heads is Marelli ( Italian ) and they have a U.S. distributor.

The bell housing sizes are on Kubota's engine website and the adapter listings are on Marathon's website.

If that engine came off a light plant, what happened to the gen head? They are rebuildable quite reasonably.

As I recall, you are in the Southern California area. If so, try and find Nim's generator repair in the old 714 area code area. It has been 10 years since I have been there, but if he is still in business he can help you.
