Engine change over on eagle from 8v71 to turbo 8v92 need more air, what type filter etc.

Bob, a wix #546895 or Napa #6895 ecolite filter is what i use it comes with the housing all you need is hoses bad part it cost 125.00 every time you change the filter mine is mounted on the right hand side looking at the back of the bus because i have a rear mount turbo

Those all contained filters are great, but, I wrap the whole thing in a screen wire and duct tape the wire around the intake duct, so the mud wasps, and other insects will keep out.
In the orange grove, in the open air, they will last about a year.
Always remember to mount the filter where it can pick up fresh cool air, as the air is heated it will heat the engine accordingly.

If the air is 10 degrees hotter than the outside air, it will heat the motor about 10 degrees hotter. cold air always causes better combustion. Within reason, of course.

Bob,
Take heed to Steve's advice. The whole reason the A is in 8V92TA is aftercooler to cool the air after it comes from the turbo, and before it enters the engine. Anything that is heated expands, with air, that means less Oxygen molecules in the same space in the engine to burn diesel fuel. So, they cool the hot compressor discharge! Why start with a handicap?

Bob,the Eagle gets clean air where its openings are now i tried different things with my air intake and it didn't work i guess Eagle knew where the best place was for the air intake good luck
