The speedometer odometer on my 06 doesn't work and apparantly stopped working many, many miles ago as compared to the mileage on the hubodometer. Is there some internal mechanical connection between the speedodometer and the speedometer odometer? I have noticed there is one unconnected wire hanging near he speedometer and at least one empty screw nearby but haven't reconnected it just to see what happens. The speedometer seems to work OK otherwise (except for an intermident zero indication last test drive). If this a mechnical falt inside what I'll assume is a sealed unit what other options are available for a replacement? -- Like maybe something more modern maybe even with a trip odometer (or is that asking too much). |

I recently purchased a 5 inch dia spedo/trip odo. fron Ronthebusnut web site. $99.00 plus shipping. Looks like a nice one. It doesn't come with a sending unit for on the hub{pickup?} but since I already have one, I figure I'll use the one already installed on my left front wheel. My spedo works OK, but i wanted a trip odometer. My hubodometer was broken. |

I installed a new speedmeter on my 4106 but I didn't like the idea of mounting it on the front hub, with all the water ice mud ect not counting the bouncing I made a bracket and mounted the pick up on the tale shaft of my V730 works great |
