I am looking at painting the bumper on my 102a3 and it is a big bumper how do you prep a rubber bumper. Sand stuff |

Talk to someone at an automotive paint store. I think it takes a special primer and paint. Jack |

Stain it with solid color stain (black)did it on a Gillig I used to own and it worked great. |

I would like to smooth it out to look good. How do you sand or ??? todo that. |

Try this site, click on "PDS Catalog" http://www.martinsenour-autopaint.com/refmaterials/refmaterials.html They have primer and paint for plastic, but most important they have info about how to use each item listed. (click on the blue number) Their products are sold at NAPA I'm just getting into the same thing as the girl next door wants the bumper on her car painted. Ed |

Jerry, Please let us know what you find in the way of products and prep work. I have to do the same thing. Going to paint both bumpers and all six rubber wheel skirts on my 102. I have a photo of one so done and it looks great. I talked to a "paint pro" after his seminar at a bus rally and he had no usable information. |
