This House Bill has cleared the House and is in the State Senate for finance review. The Bill is to replace and retrofit pre-2007 diesel engines and reduce idling. My reading of it thus far, is that funds (tax credits, low interest loans etc.) are to be set aside to assist owners of older diesel engines in updating, repowering or retrofiting their vehicles. The Bill reads like it applies to commercial use, uses the term buses, but can't tell for sure if it applys to conversion buses. Comments welcome...... :0 |

• Clean Diesel Tax Credit: Encourages private investment by providing a tax credit of up to 50% for retrofits and rebuilds. When the price of diesel hits $4.00+ this winter, we won't be polluting all that much anyway... |
