Hi all, MY wife and I just got through removing the fresh and Black water tanks from the bay. It looks like a spider web there with all of the water hoses and electrical lines running every direction. Can you all please post some pictures of your water bays to show how clean looking they could be. This project was origonally an a/c removal and replacement. My new a/c units wouldn't work unless I reduced the size of my water tanks. Now I am "re--remodeling" my coach. -- BILL |

Thanks for the pictures Nick!!! Can you describe what i,m looking at here? It looks to me that you have a tank gauge. I take it that the smaller tank is your fresh water tank. How big is your tanks??? How do the cruise are work??? What can I use for my drivers air without running the genset? I do not have bus ac anymore. Sorry for so many ???s but I need the knowledge!!! -- BILL |

Hi Bill, The two big tanks are Fresh water and gray water at 105gal each. The smaller tank is black at 50 gal. The tank sensors are Sensa Tank RV 100 tank monitoring system by MSC engineering that also sences LP but I don't use LP. Both gray and black tanks are Y-ed together with seperate dump valves. My Cruiseair's are selfcontained heat pumps at 15,000btu's each and are more then enough on the hottest days. I don't run them down the road. I use OTR coach air. What I discribed to you in your other thread about installing a car type compressor hooked to your dash evap is the second best way. Third, would be to mount a roof air directly over the drivers area and pipe it to blow on you. But thats about all you will cool is you. Unless you want your wife to sweat.LOL Good Luck Nick- |

Thanks again Nick, Have you done this a/c piping to the driver condenser before. Im sure you have...do you have to insulate the copper tubing from the rear of the coach to the front??? -- BILL |

One more ... above is water/septic bay on curb side with Hydro Hot in front. Septic is on the left on water is on the right. This is Driver side water / septic bay ... water is on the left septic on the right. I had a custom made tank ... they glue the plastic sheet together and welded in the baffles then fiberglas each tank then put the 2 tanks together and reapplied more fiberglass, they also fiberglass a piece of 3/4 plywood on this end (shown above pic)to mount pumps etc on. The 2 black pipes (on each side) coming from the ceiling and through the floor are the vents, on the post before this one you can see another black pipe also that is another septic vent, one on each side of the bus. Hope this helps Ron |

Rube checking in. ;) Two 100 gal horizontal tanks - fresh on top, grey on bottom. I probably would not do that again. I thought the horizontally-oriented would distribute weight better, which is true, but slow to drain when less than 1/2 full. Door removed in front of piping so that JohnMC9 can peek. ;) |

Real neat, Chuck!! Nice job indeed! Maybe better with the waste tank on the top? It's an easy fix, tho.... just swap the connections!! |

If you want your tanks to drain fast and clean without rinsing, try round tanks. Ya'll know they worked and are still working for me! |

Ace - You oughta' post the pictures of your tank arrangement for William D. That might be how he could fit everything he needs, into that one bay he wants it all in! |

Hi Bill, To answer your question about the drivers air, yes I have but, not an Eagle to date. You can remove the bus condencer and mount a smaller one in a place of your choice like against your engine radiator, or a ventd compartment with a 12v automotive fan. It's easier to run a new line set to the dash evap. rather then trying to remove the tee's and selonoid. And to answer your question of wrapping the copper lines, just the [large] suction line. There lots of web sites that sell automotive components for your needs. When I get back in my office tomorrow, I will link some to you. Nick- |
