I have seen a bus post before that showed them doing there own spray Foam insulation using a kit I presume, the material was in similar to propane tanks and there is a gun that i guess you can purchase. Does any one know where to get this and is it cheaper than paying some one ?? I just cant remember which post i saw it on and I thought i bookmarked it. Your Help As Always Will Be Appreciated. Thanks. RJmule, ONEmule, DAmule...

Hey Mule that's one the perks for being banned from the MAK board. You can't retrieve anything you might need! LOL

Yes, people have talked about these kits and have used them. It takes a little while to get the right amount on as it expands so much, so you either waste a lot or don't put enough on. But it will work and would save you money. There is a good amount of labor to grind the excess away when it is set up. Definately need a breathing apparatus when doing the grinding. Put a fan with a good draw in a window at one end and seal it from leaks. Open window or door at other end to draw the dust out. Personally, I would drive the coach to someone that does this on a regular basis. Of course, you need to think out all of your wire runs or whatever that is going to be buried in the foam and how you are going to guide your foam grinder to properly follow the interior contours.

One place to get the kit is McMaster-Carr
http://www.mcmaster.com/
Just type 'spray foam' into the search.

Be VERY careful of the fumes.

Not really sure exactly except I was talking about the a/c business and poof I was gone again, only this time for good, so they think!
What I think is really funny is that I made a comment on here about all the OFF TOPIC postings that they have over there and NOW they have a "special" place just for OT's! Now THAT'S funny, I don't care who you are! :-)
Besides that, they are still having their contest to see who can "post the most"!

Remember there is a differance between HOT spray foam and COLD spray foam. Hot spray has a higher R factor but requires heated hoses as the product must be hot at the mixing nozzle. This is the product usually used by the professionals. Check for companies spraying van conversions, hot tubs, food storage barns, etc. I found a semi retired guy willing to get his equipment fired up on a Saturday. I helped as much as I could. He quoted $800 IIRC, did walls and ceiling of 35' (4104), filled R & M front and rear caps, sprayed wheel wells and gen compartment and asked for $550! I didn't ask for a receipt. Most of the quotes I had were for 2 to 3 times that.

ACE, i was banned for posting a legal letter that showed mike Kadetz getting sued for the way he does business and (trying)to cheat a customer, but the customer won the law suit. Mike kadetz cheated me as well but wont go into that any more. I have posted it here before.
thank you all for the foam contacts, just cant see paying $2000.00 to have it done and they get the high from it for free, I do know about the fumes and will ventilate properly. Again Thanks. Da mule
