Now that we have 3 870 flxs we need to know the towing limit. How big of a boat can you put behind these. Is there an 870 site around ?
We also have a Flx newlook is it about the same?
Thanks for any responce

I have a 320hp 6v92ta Federal Spec in mine w/4.10 rearend. Just towing a Ranger 4x4P/U (4200#)causes it to run warm on the pulls, although it doesn't even know it's back there 95% of the time. I'm currently considering that it is a lack of air flow across the radiator at low speeds; perhaps a forward facing air grille rather than the horizontal standard one. I also have a tendency to not want to slow down for hills! Rear axle is 24000# and it pretty much runs the legal limit 20000 on the back axle sitting empty(as converted). Engine cradle is more than sufficient for the hitch and my receiver is welded directly over the original hook eye, which was used to lift the rear of the bus. If u have the 4.56 rearend (generally equipped) u should have no problem towing anything if u just back out of it on the hills and look for low gear.
