Is the silver siding on a coach like an MCI9 hard to maintain? Or woud it be easier just to have smooth siding installed and painted? Thanks

Herb,

A good mirror polish should last several years with minimal maintenance. At one time, in the early planing stages, we considered new caps and smooth siding. However, as we compared the look of stainless (traditional bus look) with the fiberglass and plywood contemporary motorhome look we decided "why settle for bus like" when we already have the real thing.

The new front skins and headlight upgrades are on now and look great.

I know someone in our area that will mirror polish for the going rate and maybe we can work a better deal if you can deliver both our buses.

Let me know,
Steve

Steve,
Who do you know that will mirror polish stainless? I would like to contact them and get pricing.

Bob,

Roosevelt Alcorn @ 313-331-4448.

I've seen his work and it looks pretty good. He is working up a price for me now.

Have you given anymore thought to Shepherd the last weekend in April?

Hey! 313 is Michigan! I might be interested in getting in on that deal. We're over on the other side of the strate, but if we all can get a volume discount, it might be worth the drive. Let me know what you find out.

Steve,
I think I will pass on Shepherd this year. I am hoping to take her to paint ASAP. Next year. How did the generator install go? Is it on line and working okay?

Bob.

Bob,

Genset is in and running. My sister looked at it and said that we are now completely self-sufficiant. I told her that actually comes from the money machine in the third bay.

All I need now is to get my refitted compressor (sans generator) compartment door back from IB&P so that I can remove the paneling covering the opening on the side of the bus.

Steve
